Hence on our way from Shiraz to Isfahan, we made a stop in Yazd, to make sure you explore this desert city of Iran.
Located at the foot of the Zagros Mountains, we started our Iran trip from the city of Shiraz. The city is known as the city of poets, literature, wine and flowers, in addition to being the formal capital and of the oldest cities in Persia, there are plenty of things to do in Shiraz.
Backpacking in Central America is a lifetime adventure! It may appear small on the map, however, in actual fact, our trip from Canun, Mexico all the way to Panama City was almost 3000KM and we spent 10 weeks to complete the trip (including a quick getaway to Cuba)! There is just so much to see in this region!
After walking through a secret tunnel, we arrived at the middle of the spiral staircase underground. It was a mysterious place that we thought only existed in fairy tales. Looking up we could see the perfect circular skylight dimly illuminating the artistic spiral that spans from the top to bottom. This was the most anticipated place for us to see in Quintra Da Regaleira in Sintra, Portugal.
Istanbul is a vibrant city mixed with culture, colours and histories. It is one of the largest cities in the world. Located on both sides of the Bosphorus strait, it is the only city in the world spans across Europe and Asia physically and culturally. It is almost impossible to run of out things to do in Istanbul, however if you have limited time like us. I will share with you what we did during our two days in Istanbul!
