The most worrying part is that if our clothes will stand the cold of Antarctica since we couldn’t carry too much in our 8 Kg carry on luggage. After the notorious Drake Passage, I shall know if my 8 Kg packing gear article is useful or not.
After our first stop in Buenos Aires, we made our way down south towards Patagonia region to see Glaciar Perito Moreno. Our original plan was to bus down to El Calafate, however the total journey was going to take over 40 hours as the total distance was over 3000Km!

In October 2015 we took Qantas flight QF8425 in conjunction with Emirates from Perth to Istanbul on Boeing 777. The first part of the journey from Perth to Dubai took 10 hours 55 minutes. This was my first time changing my meal to “Emirates Low Fat & Low Cholesterol” option.
After starting our trip from Istanbul, we have finally made our way into the Greek capital- Athens! In a way Athens is the birthplace of Classical Greece, therefore of Western civilization, as well as where democracy started.
