The Lost World. It was surely one. Maybe I have not seen enough of the world but this was definitely the most amazing adventures I have ever been on. I believe I have told the story of this trip countless times since I have been on it. Apparently Tom Cruise did this cave with different groups of family and friends countless of times when he was filming The Last Samurai
The Sugar Club is the fourth restaurant opened by Peter Gordon who is a famous New Zealand-born, London-based chef. The restaurant is located on Level 53 of Auckland’s iconic Sky Tower. The restaurant itself does not rotate like the restaurant “Orbit” which is a level below. There is also complimentary valet parking for people who dines at the restaurant in the car park below. I reckon this is the must-go restaurants for any tourists who wants to dine with a view!
The Grove Restaurant is the winner of 2014 “Restaurant of the year” in Auckland. After leaving Auckland for 18 months, my friends and I decided to catch up over some fine dining. The Grove Restaurant is next to the newly renovated historic St Patrick’s Cathedral, the square is quite quiet on a Thursday night, giving a serene ambiance.
Today we visited Waitomo Cave for the god-knows-how-many-th times. This place is around 2 hour drive from Auckland. Every time we have families or friends visiting from overseas, we will take them here. The cave is famous for the limestone composition and beautiful glow worms. This time I’m visiting the place with people my age, so we can do more adrenaline pumping activities. There are many options you can choose, including Black Water Rafting which is quite unique to this area. Black water rafting is completely different to white water rafting. You sit on a big rubber tire and float through underwater caves with glow worms directly above you.
Today my family and I visited an extremely famous restaurant in Auckland- The French Cafe. It has been awarded multiple times each year since 2004 to 2014. The restaurant is located on top of Symonds Street near Khyber Pass Road, the parking was relatively easy since there was a paid car park a few meters away. The interior design of the restaurant was very calm and contemporary, the feeling was simple but elegant. The room we were in has a view over looks the courtyard which opens to dining in the warmer months.
White water rafting is one of the must-do experiences when you visit Rotorua– a town 3 hours drive away from Auckland. This town is action central, packed with adrenaline-rushed activities. We choose Oreke Falls as our white water rafting location since it was only 15 minute drive from central Rotorua. As usual we booked our trip […]

It provides picturesque views of the city, every photo taken up there is perfection. The mountain top The place is located […]
The main purpose of visiting Queen’s park is to visit Southland Museum & Art Gallery. It is famous for tuatara, one of the most precious New Zealand species- they are pretty much living fossils. However they are close to extinction after the introduction of rats and possums. Tuatara Henry is the oldest tuatara in the […]
I always believe that Invercargill is a great place for raising kids. That belief was strengthened after I visited the famous Queen’s Park in the city. This park was located 15 minutes from where I stayed. It had a massive total area of 200 acres. It contained many buildings from Victoria era with an 18-hole […]
Other than the typical skiing in Queenstown, you are able to do paragliding as well! Since I love purchasing things on Groupon, I found an awesome deal where you can do paragliding for NZD$99 (rather than NZD$210) which included hotel pick up, photos and videos. Paragliding in Queenstown is an activity that is weather dependent, so […]
